Nuzzlets is self funded; we rely on donations to continue our work.
From 1st January 2012 a suggested minimum donation to cover the cost of consumables is:
Family visits
£2.00 per person
School visits
£2.00 per student
1 teacher or carer free per student.
Examples of some of our expenses:
- £5 buys 2 bales of straw or 1 bale of hay.
- £10 buys a bag of feed.
- The blacksmith is £15 per pony every 8 weeks.
- Our vet bill is approx £1000 pa.
- Our feed bill is approx £2000 pa.
- Our insurance cover is approx £350 pa.
This year the average family donation for Birthday parties has been £5 per child.
We ask for a minimum donation of 40p per mile to cover the cost of diesel, if we visit you.
With this money we have been able to feed and care for the animals.
